ATGJSY: Chapter 33
Rong Qian didn't run around searching for clues for nothing.
She had Shen Yi take her to the school, to Chen Shiyi's dormitory. There, she found a notepad with traces of writing. After shading over it with a pencil, she revealed an address.
This was where Chen Shiyi had written down an address while on the phone. The piece of paper with the address had already been torn up by her.
And now, the place Rong Qian was driving to was that address.
Before getting out of the car, Rong Qian briefed them on the plan, "Shen Yi and I will knock on the door first. As soon as someone inside opens the door, you guys rush in immediately! Start searching from the bedroom, storage room; remember, you have to be fast!"
Everyone nodded nervously.
Following the plan, Rong Qian and Shen Yi went to knock on the door. Before long, a maid came to open the door, "Who are you looking for—Ah!"
Without waiting for the maid to ask, Lin Feng, Lu Xuan, and Jesse forcefully pushed past her and stormed into the house!
The maid screamed in terror. The homeowner was disturbed and came out. He was a middle-aged white man wearing gold-rimmed glasses. Jesse saw him and immediately shouted to Rong Qian, "It's him! It's him!"
Rong Qian gestured for Jesse to go search the rooms first.
"Who are you people? Don't move, I'm calling the police!" Mr. Leon Lev spoke, his face turning pale. The maid grabbed a broom, shielding the homeowner.
Rong Qian didn't waste time with him and questioned him directly, "Where's Chen Shiyi? Where did you hide the young Chinese girl?"
"I don't know what you're talking about! Tell your people to leave immediately, or I'll call the police!" Mr. Leon Lev picked up the phone, but he didn't dial. He threatened her instead.
Rong Qian chuckled coldly, "Go ahead, why hesitate?"
"Do you think I won't? A bunch of outsiders dare to cause trouble in someone else's country, I'll make sure you all go to jail!" Mr. Leon Lev seemed to have found his confidence and started dialing!
But before he could make the call, the handset was snatched away.
When Mr. Leon Lev looked up, he met the clear and sharp eyes of a young man.
"Rong Qian! We've searched everywhere, nothing!" Lin Feng rushed out anxiously, followed by Lu Xuan and Jesse, shaking their heads to indicate they found nothing.
"You're done for! I'm telling you, none of you are leaving today! I'll make sure you all go to jail!" Mr. Leon Lev stiffened his neck, ordering the maid to quickly lock the door to prevent them from escaping!
The maid grabbed the broom to close the door, but Rong Qian stopped her. She remained calm, smiling, "What's the rush? Of course, the door should be locked, but you don't need to do it."
Rong Qian signaled to Lin Feng and the others, "You guys go out first, close the door behind you, and stand guard outside."
"Rong Qian, are you really this confident? What if we're wrong?" Lin Feng was trembling with fear, worried about accusing the wrong person and ending up in the police station.
Rong Qian gave him three words, "Trust me."
Those three words seemed to have a magical effect. Lin Feng and the others felt reassured, as if they had taken a calming pill. They followed Rong Qian's instructions one by one.
"Shen Yi, you go out too," Rong Qian also signaled to Shen Yi, who was restraining Mr. Leon Lev.
Shen Yi hesitated for three seconds but chose to trust her and left.
After the door closed, only Rong Qian remained, facing the master and servant.
Seeing that all the men had left, leaving only a weak woman behind, Mr. Leon Lev's confidence skyrocketed. What was there to fear about a woman?
Mr. Leon Lev picked up the phone again to call the police, but then something stiff pressed against his forehead.
Mr. Leon Lev froze, his entire body stiffening. He turned his head in horror to look up. It was a gun!
Rong Qian tossed a pair of handcuffs onto the table, aimed the gun at his forehead, and said with a smile, "No need to call, I'm the police. Don't think that moving the person will keep you safe."
With that, Rong Qian's gaze turned cold, and she sternly demanded, "So, I advise you to tell me immediately where you've taken her!"
Outside the door, Lin Feng and the others paced anxiously, consumed by worry.
Lifting his head, Lin Feng noticed Shen Yi still leaning against the door frame, eyes closed, standing quietly. Anxious, Lin Feng said, "Shen Yi, aren't you worried? Never mind if something happens to her alone, but what if we've got the wrong person?"
Shen Yi still kept his eyes closed, saying nothing.
Thinking he genuinely wasn't concerned, Lin Feng saw the door open suddenly. Shen Yi abruptly opened his eyes, seeing Rong Qian emerge. He immediately stepped forward and asked her, "How did it go?"
Looking at his anxious demeanor, pretending not to worry when clearly he was, Rong Qian sighed inwardly.
"No time to waste, talk in the car."
Rong Qian's face was grave. Without waiting for further questions, she urged them to get into the car first.
Before leaving, Shen Yi glanced back into the house. He saw Leon Lev, scared and pale, collapsed on the ground, still shaken.
Shen Yi narrowed his eyes slightly, deep in thought.
Leon Lev had a brother named Jack Lev, who had been in prison for a crime. He had just been released a year ago.
Since then, he hadn't changed his ways. This time, he had targeted human trafficking, specifically foreign students, like those from Japan and Korea.
This Leon Lev wasn't any company boss, nor had he married a Chinese wife. He was an accomplice, responsible for masquerading as a boss to deceive those college students' trust.
Jack Lev was at the bottom of this human trafficking chain. He only transported the kidnapped people to those above him for handling and got paid per head.
From Leon Lev, Rong Qian learned that Chen Shiyi had been moved an hour ago.
If they were lucky and caught them resting at a transit station, they might still have a chance. But if they didn't stop midway, once Chen Shiyi was handed over to another group, they wouldn't be able to find her again.
Therefore, Rong Qian raced against time, driving straight to the transit station!
Fortunately, Chen Shiyi hadn't been moved yet.
They were celebrating with beer at the transit station, which was actually just a bar, old and dirty.
Rong Qian floored the gas pedal, breaking in!
Seven or eight people grabbed whatever heavy objects they had at hand and attacked. Lin Feng and Jesse were the first to get off the car. They each grabbed a chair and smashed them!
Someone came to smash the car door. Shen Yi, with a cold face, kicked the car door open! The door hit the person's face, instantly covered in blood.
As soon as Rong Qian stopped the car, unbuckled her seatbelt, and opened the door, she went straight into action. A series of decisive and swift movements, without a hint of hesitation.
In no time, a group fight broke out, with only Lu Xuan at a loss after getting off the car.
It was Rong Qian who reminded him, "Don't just stand there! Go find Chen Shiyi now!"
"Okay!" Lu Xuan hurried to find someone.
Rong Qian took on a menacing big guy, Jack Lev, with a knife. Facing such a ruthless criminal who had killed before, she was used to dealing with such thugs!
In no time, Rong Qian kicked away the knife in his hand, subdued him with a move, and pinned him to the ground. A fierce kick to his chin left him with a bloody mouth.
The situation was clear—they couldn't resist them.
As victory seemed assured, someone appeared with a gun out of nowhere, and unfortunately, instead of aiming at anyone else, they aimed at Shen Yi!
Then, a "bang" echoed! Someone fell to the ground...
